"What are Paper Beads?"
I bet you are wondering what is a paper bead and what a paper bead bracelet looks like. Paper beads are beads made of any assortment of paper like card stock, magazines, newspapers, calender, etc. The beads are cut in simple organic shaped strips, and rolled using a paper bead roller, or with a toothpick or any thin smooth cylinder stick. The beads can be round, cylinder, flying saucer shape, etc. The sizes are also varied by thickness of the paper one uses, and how many layers of the strips of paper is used. Paper beads are special. A lot of Uganda women make and sell their paper beads for a living. The last photo is an African woman who make these beautiful beads for a living.
